Chief of State's temperament is exceptional and allows him to be used in many ways including as a lesson horse for children and challenged riders. He has won numerous championships in dressage, hunter over fences, carriage pleasure driving and competitive trail rides and drives. He and his half-brother, Atavista Statesman, (shown on the left in the photo) won the 1990 National Combined Driving Pair Championship. His get inherit his powerful, yet light movement and are winning in many sport horse disciplines.
