A steady, brave mindset, elegance and expressive, elastic gaits have made GKB Coal Magic a Morgan World Champion in dressage and consistent winner in open dressage at training through third level. Coal is a two-time 2006 USEF Horse of the Year champion and a four-time winner of the 2006 USDF All Breeds Award Program. Coal was the only Morgan to qualify and compete under saddle at Dressage at Devon, considered the highest-rated international dressage competition and most complete breed show outside of Europe, scoring 72.6 percent and placing fifth of 13.
GKB Coal Magic's sire line is old government breeding going back to the great sporthorse sires Senator Graham, Ulendon, Magellan and Mansfield, which gives Coal his size, bone and substance. His dam marries the Beamington bloodlines, which gives him his exquisite head and the bloodlines of Red Correll, the wonderful western working stallion who produced great using horses with exceptional canters.
