The Morgan Dressage Association is pleased to offer the services of 10 exceptional stallions as part of its Fifth Annual Benefit Stallion Service Sale. The inaugural effort in 2002 was extremely successful and allowed MDA to develop a scholarship program to benefit riders competing and training Morgans in dressage and has helped the association sponsor opportunities for Morgans to compete in open competition, such as the sponsorship of the Morgan Class at the world-renowned Dressage at Devon.

As in the past, the stallions offered in the 2006 MDA Benefit Stallion Service Sale are all champions and/or from families that have produced champions. (Click on the stallion's photo to go to his page )

All stallions are offered at half their advertised stud fee - if the stallion has an advertised full-priced fee of $2,000 for the 2006 season, then the stallion is offered through this Benefit Stallion Service Sale at $1000. Bidding is simple - bidders fill out the bid form and send it to the address listed.

Bids may not be postmarked prior to Tuesday, January 3, 2004. The qualifying bid with the earliest postmark of January 3 or later wins the service. (Please note that the POSTMARK is the deciding factor NOT when we receive the bid - do NOT send your bid by commercial carrier such as FedEx, Airborne Express, etc. or express mail, but you should make sure your post office postmarks the envelope.) In the event that two bids have the same postmark date, Morgan Dressage Association members receive preference over nonmembers. In the event there is still a tie, bidders' names will be placed in a hat and a winner picked at random.

Bidders will be notified by e-mail or telephone and have seven calendar days following notification to send a check for the service to the Association. If a check is not received within seven days, the service will be offered to the next postmarked bid.

Successful bidders are required to contact the stallion owner and sign the stallion owner's contract and pay any collection/shipping fees incurred.

The Association strongly urges all potential bidders to contact the stallion owners directly for a breeding contract and to learn more about the breeding terms BEFORE placing a bid.

The Association sincerely thanks the stallion owners for their generous donations and The Breeder's Guide for its support in marketing this program.

If you have questions about the sale, e-mail: MDA Board member and Stallion Service Sale Chair, Beth Sheller - highharpeth@comcast.net.
