2004 Morgan Dressage Association
Benefit Stallion Service Sale

The Morgan Dressage Association is pleased to offer the services of 10 exceptional stallions as part of its Third Annual Benefit Stallion Service Sale. The inaugural effort in 2002 was extremely successful, and allowed MDA to develop a scholarship program to benefit riders competing and training Morgans in dressage. The 2003 program again benefited our breed's dressage riders and also helped create a high-score awards program for 2004 that will recognize excellence by Morgans in open, recognized dressage competitions around the United States.

As in 2002 and 2003, the stallions offered in the 2004 MDA Benefit Stallion Service Sale are all champions or from families that have produced champions. (Click on the stallion's photo to go to his page)

All stallions are offered at half their advertised stud fee - if the stallion has an advertised full-priced fee of $2,000 for the 2004 season, then the stallion is offered through this Benefit Stallion Service Sale at $1000. Bidding is simple - bidders fill out the bid form and send it to the address listed.

Bids may not be postmarked prior to January 2, 2004. The qualifying bid with the earliest postmark of January 2 or later wins the service. (Please note that the POSTMARK is the deciding factor NOT when we receive the bid - there is no need to send your bid by commercial carrier or express mail, but you should make sure your post office postmarks the envelope.) In the event that two bids have the same postmark date, Morgan Dressage Association members receive preference over nonmembers. In the event there is still a tie, bidders' names will be placed in a hat and a winner picked at random.

Bidders will be notified by e-mail or telephone and have seven calendar days following notification to send a check for the service to the Association. If a check is not received within seven days, the service will be offered to the next postmarked bid.

Successful bidders will be required to contact the stallion owner and sign the stallion owner's contract and pay any collection/shipping fees incurred.

The Association strongly urges all potential bidders to contact the stallion owners directly for a breeding contract and to learn more about the breeding terms BEFORE placing a bid.

The Association sincerely thanks the stallion owners for their generous donations and The Breeder's Guide for its donation of a full-page ad and feature story in the 2002 and 2003 Guide to help market this program.
