The Morgan Dressage Association's Mentoring program is not intended to replace professional instruction, rather its goal is simply to help our members connect with fellow Morgan dressage riders with whom they can share riding and training issues.
Traditionally, a mentor helps a rider who is less experienced. A receiver is helped by a more experienced, skilled rider. Two riders working at the same level can work together as partners. If you have the time and interest, you can be a mentor, receiver and partner with three separate riders.
If you'd like to join the MDA Mentoring Program, please fill out the following questionnaire and return it to Elizabeth Davis, 15965 Middle Delaware Road, Henderson, KY 42420, or e-mail the information to ebeth965@henderson.net. Questions? E-mail Elizabeth or phone her at (270) 546-9530. Even if you have marked on your membership application that you want to be in the mentoring program, you MUST fill out and return this application.
Based on your responses Elizabeth will make appropriate pairings. The program had more than 30 participants in 1999 and based on the list of applicants is expected to grow to more than 50 in 2000.
You MUST be a member of the Morgan Dressage Association to participate. To join, go to the On-line Membership Application.
